Well, even if Geno WAS higher than Sonic thats not really saying much.
AND THE MAIN REASON HE AINT GETTING IN: Nintendo only puts RECENT characters in. Thats why they got rid of Roy, mewtwo, pichu, dr. Mario, and young Link. They haven't been in any current games. The only reason marth stayed was because she got a ds game. Seriously, when was the last time geno was even METIONED in a game?
RECENT, hmm? Lets see, theres ICE CLIMBERS, PIT, MR. GAME AND WATCH, AND R.O.B. Those are DEFINATELY not recent.
Also, Mario & Luigi, SuperStar Saga had a cameo with Geno. He would announce the rules for the arcade game. ALSO IN THE CREDITS Geno has his own little spot among everyone else. YUP. HES THAT AWESOME.
Dr. Mario has been remade for almost EVERY Nintendo console.

I seriosly doubt nintendo would bring back a 16 year old SUB CHARACTER. Maybe if he was the main character, it would be considered, but hes not. Travis however, is recent, a practical figher, oh and hes NOT IN OUTER SPACE AS A STAR.

R.O.B., Game and watch, and ice climbers are clasics, Geno is not.
So geno was only in TWO games, and one wasn't even that great.
Dr. Mario was REMADE, that doesn't mean he is new or current.
MARTH IS NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER. Fire Emblem changes their character every game. Ike was the main character for both the gamecube and wii remake. Marth wasn't even in that fire emblem.
Pichu was cut for two reasons: Hes 2nd gen and hes a clone.
Mewtwo was cut because hes 1rst gen, he was replace with the recent Lucario.
They cut young Link for toon link because toon link is more recent.
Roy actually was a main character at the time of melee because fire emblem changes their characters.

SMRPG is a classic. ROB? Really? Cmon. Stupid idea. Ice Climbers? Only had one game, and all it was was jumping around with hammers n shit. At least Geno has a vast majority of moves.
When I said MAIN CHARACTER FOR FIRE EMBLEM, I meant that he was main character for Fire Emblem AT THAT TIME. Once again, Roy was not a main character at that time when they were making Brawl. They had to keep someone, and since more people liked Marth, and the fact that Roy was super cheap, they kept Marth. (DID YOU JUST SAY "because 'she' got a ds game"?!?)
Still, Toon Link is just another clone.

However, this shouldn't be a problem if hes as popular as you say. If hes "more popular than Sonic" he could get re-newed in another game, but I don't see him getting in solely because some fans want him.
